Vardenafil 10 mg to 80 mg tablets
Vardenafil is a prescription tablet used to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men. It relaxes blood vessels in the penis so blood can flow in when you are sexually aroused; it does not work without sexual stimulation, and it does not increase desire. A valid prescription from your prescriber is required, and a pharmacist reviews every order.
This medicine is dispensed only against a valid prescription. Don’t have one? Order anyway — one of our doctors will call you for a free consultation after you order, and the medicine ships only if it is prescribed for you.
A licensed pharmacist reviews every prescription before this medicine is dispensed.

Medicine information
Vardenafil uses
Vardenafil is licensed for one thing. The use below is the approved indication from the label, written in plain words.
- Treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men - difficulty getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sex
Your prescriber may use it for other conditions; follow their instructions rather than anything you read here.
How to use vardenafil
Take vardenafil exactly as your prescriber tells you. It is taken only when you need it, not every day.
- Swallow one tablet whole with a drink of water about 60 minutes before sexual activity.
- You can take it with or without food, though a very high-fat meal may slow down how quickly it starts to work.
- Sexual stimulation is needed for the tablet to have any effect.
- Do not take more than one dose in any 24 hours.
- The label gives a usual adult range of 5 mg to 20 mg, with 10 mg as the usual starting dose. Your prescriber sets yours. A lower starting dose is usual if you are over 65, have moderate liver problems, or take an alpha-blocker or certain antifungal, antibiotic or HIV medicines.
- Ask your prescriber or pharmacist before drinking grapefruit juice, which can change how much vardenafil reaches your blood.
- Do not take vardenafil together with any other erectile dysfunction medicine.
If you miss a dose
There is no dosing schedule to miss, because vardenafil is taken only when needed. Never take a second tablet on the same day to make up for one that did not seem to work.
Storage
Keep the tablets in their original pack at room temperature, away from damp and direct heat. Keep them out of the sight and reach of children.
Vardenafil side effects
Most people who take vardenafil have either no side effects or mild ones that settle; tell your prescriber or our pharmacist about anything that bothers you or does not go away.
Common
Serious — seek urgent care
- An erection lasting longer than 4 hours, or a painful erection (priapism) - seek urgent care immediately, as this can permanently damage the penis
- Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes - stop the tablet and seek urgent care
- Sudden loss of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears or dizziness - stop the tablet and seek urgent care
- Chest pain, pressure or breathlessness during or after sex - stop, do not take nitrates, and call emergency services
- Fainting or severe dizziness from a sudden drop in blood pressure - seek urgent care
- A severe allergic reaction: rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips or throat, or difficulty breathing - call emergency services
Warnings
- Do not use vardenafil if you take nitrates in any form - nitroglycerin sprays or patches, isosorbide tablets, or amyl nitrite 'poppers'. The combination can cause a sudden, life-threatening fall in blood pressure.
- Do not use vardenafil with riociguat or other guanylate cyclase stimulators.
- Tell your prescriber if you take alpha-blockers for blood pressure or prostate symptoms, other blood pressure medicines, ritonavir, indinavir, ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin or clarithromycin - your dose may need to be lower.
- Tell your prescriber about any heart condition, a heart attack or stroke in the last 6 months, unstable angina, uncontrolled high or low blood pressure, or an irregular heartbeat. Sexual activity itself puts extra demand on the heart.
- Tell your prescriber if you have a known QT interval problem or take medicines that prolong the QT interval, such as quinidine, procainamide, amiodarone or sotalol.
- Tell your prescriber if you have retinitis pigmentosa or have ever had sudden vision loss from NAION, sickle cell anaemia, leukaemia, myeloma, a deformity of the penis, a bleeding disorder, an active stomach ulcer, severe liver disease, or are on dialysis.
- Vardenafil is for adult men only. It is not for women, and not for anyone under 18.
- Vardenafil gives no protection against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections.
- Alcohol can add to the dizziness and low blood pressure vardenafil can cause. Keep any drinking modest and tell your prescriber what is usual for you.
Vardenafil FAQs
How long does vardenafil take to work and how long does it last?
The label directs you to take vardenafil about 60 minutes before sexual activity, and most men find it starts working within roughly 25 to 60 minutes. The effect generally lasts several hours, but this varies between individuals and with the dose. Vardenafil only works when you are sexually stimulated - nothing happens on its own. If the timing does not suit you, tell your prescriber rather than adjusting the dose yourself. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.
Can I take vardenafil with food or alcohol?
Vardenafil can be taken with or without food. A very heavy, high-fat meal may delay how quickly it starts working, so a lighter meal is easier to plan around. Alcohol is a separate question: both alcohol and vardenafil can lower blood pressure, so together they can cause dizziness, headache or fainting, and heavy drinking can worsen erectile problems in its own right. The label sets no specific limit. Tell your prescriber how much you usually drink so they can advise you properly.
What is the difference between vardenafil and sildenafil?
Both are PDE5 inhibitors approved for erectile dysfunction, and both need sexual stimulation to work. They differ in chemistry, in licensed strengths, and in how food affects them - a high-fat meal reduces sildenafil absorption more than vardenafil's. Reported onset and duration overlap heavily, and published comparisons do not establish that one suits everyone better. Which one is appropriate for you depends on your other medicines and health conditions, and that is a decision for your prescriber, not for a product page. We dispense what your prescription specifies.
Can I buy vardenafil without a prescription?
No. Vardenafil is a prescription-only medicine, and we cannot dispense it without a valid prescription from your licensed prescriber. That is not paperwork for its own sake: vardenafil interacts dangerously with nitrates, and it needs care if you have heart disease, low blood pressure, liver problems or certain eye conditions. Someone has to check that before you take it. Send us a valid prescription and our pharmacist reviews it against everything else you take, and will contact you or your prescriber if anything needs clarifying.
What strengths and pack sizes do you dispense, and what does it cost?
We dispense vardenafil as 10 mg (10 tabs), 20 mg (10 tabs), 40 mg (10 tabs), 60 mg (10 tabs) and 80 mg (10 tabs). The current price for each pack is shown on this page and again in your cart before you pay, with no membership fee and no tiers. Stock may be branded or generic on any given day, depending on what is in supply; the active ingredient, the strength and the pack size are what the label says either way. What we dispense is set by your prescription rather than by what you select, so if the quantity on your prescription differs from the pack you picked, our pharmacist will contact you before anything is sent.
Where do you ship vardenafil?
We dispense only where we are licensed to, and the checkout tells you whether we can ship to your address before you pay. Prescription medicines cannot lawfully be sent everywhere, and the rules differ by country and by province or state. If we cannot dispense to your address, nothing is charged. If you are unsure, contact us before placing an order and we will tell you plainly whether your address falls inside our service area.
Can I take vardenafil if I have a heart condition?
That is a decision for your prescriber. Vardenafil must never be combined with nitrates, which many people with angina take, and sexual activity itself puts extra demand on the heart. The label also flags caution with a recent heart attack or stroke, unstable angina, uncontrolled blood pressure, and some heart rhythm problems. Tell your prescriber about every heart medicine you take, including anything you use only occasionally for chest pain. If you get chest pain during sex, stop, seek urgent care, and tell the medical team you have taken vardenafil.
What if vardenafil does not work the first time?
It is common for a first attempt to disappoint, and that alone does not mean the medicine is wrong for you. Check the practical things first: it needs sexual stimulation, it needs roughly an hour, and a very fatty meal or a lot of alcohol can get in the way. Do not take a second tablet the same day, and do not raise the dose yourself. Speak to your prescriber, who may adjust the dose within the licensed range or look at other causes such as medicines, mood, or an untreated condition.
