Sildenafil citrate 100 mg presented as a flavoured jelly in single-dose sachets, taken by mouth for erectile dysfunction in adult men. This medicine is dispensed only against a valid prescription. Don’t have one? Order anyway — one of our doctors will call you for a free consultation after you order, and the medicine ships only if it is prescribed for you.

Medicine information
Sildenafil citrate uses
Sildenafil, the active ingredient, is approved elsewhere for one use in men. The oral jelly presentation itself carries no such approval in North America, the EU or the UK.
- Treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men - difficulty getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sex
Sildenafil is also approved in some countries, at much lower doses and under different brands, for pulmonary arterial hypertension. That is a different medicine regimen entirely. Follow your prescriber's instructions.
How to use sildenafil citrate
Take sildenafil oral jelly exactly as your prescriber directs. It is taken only when you need it, never on a daily schedule.
- Take one sachet by mouth about 1 hour before sexual activity. Sildenafil labels allow a window of roughly 30 minutes to 4 hours beforehand.
- Tear the sachet, squeeze the jelly onto a spoon or straight into your mouth, and swallow it. Do not use part of a sachet and keep the rest.
- Sexual stimulation is needed - the medicine does nothing on its own.
- Do not take more than one sachet in any 24 hours.
- A heavy or high-fat meal can delay how quickly sildenafil starts to work.
- Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice, which can raise the amount of sildenafil in your blood.
- Do not take it with any other erectile dysfunction medicine, or with any other sildenafil product - you would be doubling the dose.
- Each sachet contains 100 mg, the maximum single dose for sildenafil in erectile dysfunction. If your prescriber has set you a lower dose, this presentation cannot deliver it accurately and a tablet is the appropriate form.
If you miss a dose
There is no dosing schedule to miss, because it is taken only when needed. Never take a second sachet the same day to make up for one that did not seem to work.
Storage
Store the sachets below 25 degrees C in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight, in the original carton. Do not use a sachet that is damaged or past its expiry date. Keep it out of the sight and reach of children.
Sildenafil citrate side effects
Most men who take sildenafil get either no side effects or mild ones that pass as the dose wears off; tell your prescriber or our pharmacist about anything that troubles you or does not settle.
Common
Serious — seek urgent care
- An erection lasting longer than 4 hours, or a painful erection (priapism) - seek urgent care immediately, as this can permanently damage the penis
- Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes - stop the medicine and seek urgent care
- Sudden loss of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears or dizziness - stop the medicine and seek urgent care
- Chest pain, pressure or breathlessness during or after sex - stop, do not take nitrates, and call emergency services
- Fainting or severe dizziness from a sudden drop in blood pressure - seek urgent care
- A severe allergic reaction: rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips or throat, or difficulty breathing - call emergency services
Warnings
- Sildenafil oral jelly is not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, not authorised by Health Canada, and not authorised by the European Medicines Agency; it is not licensed by the UK MHRA either. Its active ingredient, sildenafil citrate, is approved in those regions in other products. That means this presentation has not been assessed for quality, potency or labelling by those regulators.
- Sildenafil oral jelly is widely counterfeited. Product sold outside a regulated supply chain has been found to contain the wrong dose, no active ingredient at all, or undeclared substances. Health Canada and the UK MHRA both warn against buying erectile dysfunction medicines from unauthorised sellers. Only ever obtain it against a prescription, from a licensed pharmacy, in sealed manufacturer packaging.
- Do not use it if you take nitrates in any form - nitroglycerin sprays or patches, isosorbide tablets, or amyl nitrite 'poppers'. The combination can cause a sudden, life-threatening fall in blood pressure.
- Do not use it with riociguat or other guanylate cyclase stimulators.
- Tell your prescriber if you take alpha-blockers, other blood pressure medicines, ritonavir, ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin or clarithromycin - these change how much sildenafil reaches your blood.
- Tell your prescriber about any heart condition, a recent heart attack or stroke, unstable angina, or uncontrolled high or low blood pressure. Sexual activity itself puts extra demand on the heart.
- Tell your prescriber if you have retinitis pigmentosa or have ever had sudden vision loss from NAION, sickle cell anaemia, leukaemia, myeloma, a deformity of the penis, a bleeding disorder, an active stomach ulcer, or severe liver or kidney disease.
- This medicine is for adult men only. It is not for women, and not for anyone under 18.
- It gives no protection against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections.
- Alcohol can add to the dizziness and low blood pressure sildenafil can cause, and heavy drinking can worsen erectile problems in its own right.
Sildenafil citrate FAQs
Is sildenafil oral jelly approved by the FDA or Health Canada?
No. The oral jelly presentation is not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, not authorised by Health Canada, and not authorised by the European Medicines Agency. It is not licensed by the UK MHRA either, which is why it cannot be prescribed or sold in UK pharmacies. Its active ingredient, sildenafil citrate, is approved in all of those regions in other products such as tablets. Treat any seller who tells you otherwise as unreliable. Ask your prescriber whether an authorised sildenafil product is appropriate for you instead.
Is the oral jelly the same as a sildenafil tablet?
They contain the same active ingredient, sildenafil citrate, but they are not the same product. Sildenafil tablets are approved by the FDA, Health Canada, the EMA and the MHRA. The oral jelly is an Indian presentation and holds none of those approvals. The difference matters because approval is what certifies that a specific product's manufacturing, potency and labelling have been assessed. Which product is appropriate for you is a decision for your prescriber; we dispense what your prescription specifies.
How long does sildenafil oral jelly take to work and how long does it last?
Sildenafil labels direct you to take a dose about an hour before sexual activity, with a usable window of roughly 30 minutes to 4 hours beforehand. Some men notice an effect sooner. The effect generally lasts several hours, but this varies with the individual, the dose and what you have eaten - a heavy, fatty meal delays absorption. Sexual stimulation is required throughout; sildenafil does not produce an erection on its own. Do not take a second sachet in the same 24 hours if the first seems slow.
How do you use sildenafil oral jelly?
Tear open one sachet about an hour before sexual activity, squeeze the jelly onto a spoon or directly into your mouth, and swallow it. Do not split a sachet or save part of one - each sachet is a single 100 mg dose, and 100 mg is the maximum single dose of sildenafil for erectile dysfunction. Take no more than one sachet in 24 hours, avoid grapefruit juice, and never take it alongside another erectile dysfunction medicine. If your prescriber set you a lower dose, this form cannot deliver it accurately.
Can I take sildenafil oral jelly with alcohol or with heart medicines?
Alcohol and sildenafil both lower blood pressure, so together they can cause dizziness, headache or fainting, and heavy drinking worsens erectile problems in its own right. Heart medicines are a more serious matter. Sildenafil must never be combined with nitrates - nitroglycerin, isosorbide, or amyl nitrite 'poppers' - because the combination can cause a life-threatening fall in blood pressure. Riociguat is also excluded. Tell your prescriber about every heart medicine you take, including anything you use only occasionally for chest pain.
Can I buy sildenafil oral jelly without a prescription?
No. Sildenafil is a prescription-only medicine, and we cannot dispense it without a valid prescription from your licensed prescriber. Much of what circulates online under this name is sold with no prescription and no oversight, and regulators have repeatedly found such products to contain the wrong dose, no active ingredient, or undeclared substances. The prescription requirement is what puts someone in the loop on your nitrates, your blood pressure and your heart history. Send us a valid prescription and our pharmacist reviews it before anything is dispensed.
What strengths and pack sizes do you dispense, and what does it cost?
We dispense sildenafil oral jelly as 100 mg (7 sachets). The current price for each pack is shown on this page and again in your cart before you pay, with no membership fee and no tiers. Stock may be branded or generic on any given day, depending on what is in supply; the active ingredient, the strength and the pack size are what the label says either way. What we dispense is set by your prescription rather than by what you select, so if the quantity on your prescription differs from the pack you picked, our pharmacist will contact you before anything is sent.
Where do you ship sildenafil oral jelly?
We dispense only where we are licensed to, and the checkout tells you whether we can ship to your address before you pay. Because this product is not authorised in a number of major markets, the destinations we can serve are narrower than for an approved sildenafil tablet, and the checkout reflects that. If we cannot dispense to your address, nothing is charged. If you are unsure, contact us before placing an order and we will tell you plainly whether your address falls inside our service area.
