How we know our medicine is real

Counterfeit medicine is a genuine problem in online pharmacy. Saying we are not part of it is easy. Here is how we can actually show it.

Where our medicine comes from

We buy exclusively through licensed wholesale distributors supplying the regulated Canadian market — the same channels that supply the pharmacy on your high street. Every product we hold arrives with documentation tracing it back to the manufacturer.

We do not buy from parallel importers, grey-market brokers, or online marketplaces. Those channels are cheaper. They are also precisely where falsified medicine enters the supply chain, and the saving is not worth what it costs the person taking the tablet.

What happens to a medicine before it reaches you

• On receipt — checked against purchase documentation, with product, strength, lot number and expiry recorded against the supplier.
• In storage — held under the manufacturer’s stated conditions, with monitored temperature for anything requiring it.
• On dispensing — a pharmacist checks the dispensed product against your prescription before it is sealed. Lot and expiry are recorded to your order.
• In transit — packed to protect from heat, cold and damage, with cold chain where the medicine requires it.

Because lot numbers are recorded against orders, we can identify exactly who received a specific batch. If a manufacturer or regulator issues a recall, we can contact the affected patients directly rather than posting a notice and hoping.

Generic medicines

Much of the saving we offer comes from dispensing generics where your prescriber permits substitution. A generic contains the same active ingredient at the same strength as the brand, and must meet the same regulatory standard for quality and bioequivalence before it can be sold.

What differs is usually the inactive ingredients, the shape and the colour — which is why a refill can look unfamiliar. If your prescriber has specified no substitution, we dispense the brand.

Do not take our word for any of this. A legitimate pharmacy can be verified independently, and ours can:

Warning signs at any online pharmacy

Worth knowing whoever you buy from. Be cautious of any site that:

• will sell prescription medicine without a prescription
• offers to prescribe from a questionnaire alone
• will not name its licensing regulator or registration number
• has no physical address, or no way to reach a pharmacist
• only accepts payment by wire transfer or cryptocurrency
• prices are far below every other pharmacy, including ours
